For Round One, incorporate gambling--literal or metaphorical--in your submission. It doesn't need to be the central focus, but it should be a major theme.

My immediate thought was Dave using time-traveling to win some type of gambling game/situation. Maybe he bets someone that he can go back in time and kiss himself without creating an unstable time loop. Which may or may not actually be possible, hence the gambling.

Or maybe he's at a casino and he creates a bunch of alt selves to all gamble at the same time.

But the collab prompt just went up and naturally I'm a bit excited to be working with you all.

The prompt was "aberration", and as the mods defined it, "a break in the pattern."

So, thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Or wait till our lovely palhoncho makes a proper post on this? Also, we should immediately start thinking about at least what medium to use so we know what to expect.

About ideas, I for one was thinking that a Doomed Dave could be considered an aberration, and of course considering that there are lots of opportunities for doomed Daves considering, then that might be a good idea to start off of. That's just my thought, though, and I'm eager to hear everyone else's. ouo

Additionally, I've always considered the word aberration to imply something of a monstrosity, so going by that, perhaps we could use a trickster or grimdark Dave. That might just be my love for tricksters and grimdarks showing, though. Oops.
